St Michael’s Cave
St Michael’s Cave is an extensive network of limestone caves whose entrance is 300 meters above sea level on the Rock of Gibraltar. The route is impressive and is full of stalactites hanging from the ceilings and stalagmites that rise from the ground to meet them. Europa Point lighthouse
The Europa Point lighthouse stands proudly on the tip of Gibraltar. Its great beam of light illuminates sailors navigating the Strait of Gibraltar, the often turbulent waters where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Casemates Square
Casemates Square is the heart of Gibraltar’s social life. It is the ideal place to take refuge from the summer heat and relax in one of the restaurants and cafes that overlook this esplanade. It is also an ideal place to sit and people-watch and, in the evening, enjoy a drink and a quiet dinner.
Ibrahim-Al-Ibrahim Mosque
Located at the tip of Europe, the Ibrahim-Al-Ibrahim Mosque is the southernmost mosque on the continent. This architectural marvel pays homage to Gibraltar’s long Muslim heritage. Moorish Castle
The remains of the Moorish castle are one of Gibraltar’s most iconic structures and a poignant reminder of the many battles this small land has fought over time. The keep dominates what was once a gigantic complex that stretched as far as Casemates Square and could be seen from the sea as a warning to would-be attackers. Its ruins invite you to stroll around and discover the rich history of the fortification and the role it played in the defense of the rock.
